Today, I’m terribly shocked, revolted, disgusted… Charlie Hebdo premises have been attacked today by terrorists. Those 4 great and infamous comic-artists have been coldly murdered in the attack. The newspaper was famous for being caustic and not hesitating to make caricatures. Their drawings were a part of my childhood. As a comic strip fan, I was always stumbling across them. They were a part of our culture.
But worst of all… Attacking a newspaper premise, in the middle of the day, in the name of terrorism, now THIS, is a serious attack against our Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Press, which have always been Gold Laws in France since the Revolution. Today was the last straw.
All my wishes go to the staff’s families, and especially you four, Charb, Cabu, Tignous and Wolinski. We will miss you…
Je suis Charlie.
